The Pecan Information Page!  - Here's where we are developing the most comprehensive and easy-to-use source of information for pecan growers anywhere. Need to control, for example, hickory shuckworm? Search for that name and see pictures and be linked to current updated recommendations including chemicals and rates direct from the university spray recommendations. Variety recommendations, fertilizer to apply, current price information, nurseries to find trees - any practical question a pecan grower has - here's where to look first. If you don't find it, just ask us your question. Our panel of university and grower experts will find the answer for you!

You will also find contact information for pecan scientists  from Auburn and other universities, so that you can contact them directly with your questions.

• APGA Newsletter - Quarterly you will receive the APGA newsletter with articles on a variety of pecan topics.

• Pecan Grower Magazine - With your paid membership you will receive the Pecan Grower magazine 4 times a year and have the option of ordering Pecan South magazine which comes once a month.

• Summer Tour and Annual Convention - You will receive information on the APGA’s annual summer tour that is held the first Tuesday in August and on the annual convention held the third Thursday in September.  At both of these meeting you will hear pecan scientists from all over the southeast talk about what is new and improved in the pecan industry

• Support for pecans. Our association lobbies and campaigns actively for pecan research and extension activities and for promotion of the pecan industry and our product. In 2001 the pecan programs at Auburn, despite being among the best in the country, were targeted by the university for being cut. Our association fought it, and it was saved and is as strong as ever. We conducted  a recipe contest, published a cookbook, got the word into the media, entertained legislators, and met with the governor to promote our industry. Your membership supports these efforts. We need your help!
